January recipes:
If you're not one for 'New Year's resolutions', how about 'a year-round commitment to eating well and feeling good'? Our January recipes are a good place to start:
Stay warm and nourished with these wonderful seasonal soups: Cock-a-leeky Soup , Beetroot and Potato Soup , Parsnip Soup or Celeriac Soup.
Other seasonal starters for seafood lovers are these treats: Mussels with ginger and coriander and Portuguese-style Clams.
Main course suggestions for January are veggie options: Parsnip Risotto or Mixed Vegetable Thai Green Curry; omega 3 and antioxidant-rich Grilled Fish with Red Pepper Sauce, and our fabulous Easy Fish Stew; and to up the antioxidants even further in this month of mass detoxification, serve with a Kale Salad.
How about a seasonal fruity dessert that won't pile on the pounds? Baked Apples are a homely pud while Pears with free-from Chocolate Sauce are a real treat.
For some detoxification in a refeshing glass, do try our Carrot, Apple, Cucumber and Ginger Juice or a more heavy-duty Green Smoothie.
